FINLAND: A Concert of an Estonian Girls' Choir
On December 11th an Estonian Girls' Choir, " Virumaa Tütarlastekoor " came for a short visit in Järvenpää. We had the honour to have the choir for a concert in our school.
There are 48 singers from the age of 10 to 17 in the choir. They come from nine different schools in the province of Länsi-Viromaa. 39 singers took part in this visit. The choir has two conductors, Kaie Aja and Ly Ipsberg and the pianist Darja Roditsenko. The choir practises twice a month in the province capital Rakvere.
The concert was fantastic! The choir sang in Estonian, Finnish and English. They both sang beautifully and looked beautiful in their national costume-like dresses.
